Our Story

How It All Began

Miranda & Scott

In 2018, we met in England at a Grief Recovery Specialist course. After the course, we became friends on Facebook, and that was it. But in early 2020, we started talking more, and Scott came to the Netherlands for a long weekend in July 2020.

We hit it off, and Scott came back in August, finally coming to the Netherlands permanently in November, just before Brexit. We tied the knot on February 12, 2022.

Natural Balance Mind Body Soul — the name says it all. A natural balance to bring back your head, body, and mind.

Sports, conversation, relaxation, and letting go are interwoven in what we offer. It's a dream come true for both of us, and we hope to bring a smile to many people's faces.

I have a daughter, son, and three grandchildren who live in England. It wasn’t easy leaving them behind, but I go back regularly to visit them. We also video chat often, which is really nice.

In England, I struggled with depression and felt empty and aimless. To address this, I started exercising. I opened my own gym and enrolled in the Boxercise trainer program. This gave me such a huge boost that I found my positive flow again. The Grief Recovery Specialist course also gave me valuable insight into how to deal with my feelings.

When I moved to the Netherlands, I had to say goodbye to my gym, which I missed immensely. Now, after more than three years in the Netherlands and a lot of brainstorming, I’ve found a great location to start teaching these Boxercise classes again. We’ve also set up a space at home together where we can give massages, something I also did in England. It’s been a lot of hard work getting everything up and running, but I’m really looking forward to it!

I have two daughters who both still live at home, we also have a German Shepherd and two cats.

My life path hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve always embraced everything that came my way, and this has brought me many wonderful things. For example, I took several courses that taught me more about the grieving and dying process. I discovered Access Bars and meditation and learned to let go of what no longer served me. I also trained as a Wellness Massage Therapist and Chakra Massage Therapist.

Partly because I’ve helped so many people through their journeys over the years, I felt a strong urge to start my own practice. Scott and I brainstormed, and we came up with this concept.
